A lifelong Lubbock local and fiction lover, Claire brings over 20 years of knitting experience, a warm spirit, and a passion for inclusive spaces to The Yarny Way.

Jared brings a lifelong love of crafting to every class. From shawls to beanies, he loves helping others discover how calming and creative knitting can be. Jared works full-time at the Burkhart Center and joins The Yarny Way teaching team in October—come knit with him!

Learn one-on-one with Frieda Corley, a lifelong crocheter from Lubbock with over 50 years of experience. From classic granny squares to modern amigurumi, Frieda’s love of crochet shines through every stitch.

Jennifer is The Yarny Way’s resident sock expert! A Lubbock native with a passion for knitting, she’s rarely seen without a pair of socks in progress. By day, she works in public health; by night, she keeps bees, makes blanket squares, and dreams of spinning her own yarn.

Joy Getha is an award-winning fiber artist and instructor with a passion for spinning and working with fleece. She loves teaching others how to transform raw fiber into beautiful handmade creations

Bryanna (she/her) discovered punch needle in 2023 and was instantly hooked! She loves the rhythmic, calming motion of the craft and enjoys helping others gain confidence to create textured, colorful pieces of their own.

Marni Reecer is the founder of The Yarny Way. She creates a warm, welcoming space where beginners thrive and seasoned makers find inspiration. Her teaching is friendly, hands-on, and rooted in a deep love of yarn and community.

Sydney Long brings enthusiasm, patience, and a playful spirit to everything she crochets.
