KAL: Gemella Pillow by Linnea Ornstein

Join us Wednesday evenings in June for a relaxed online Knit-Along centered around the beautiful Gemella cushion pattern by Linnea Ornstein. This project is a wonderful introduction to short row motifs, wrap-and-turn shaping, and decorative garter stitch texture.

These sessions are designed as optional weekly check-ins rather than formal classes. Bring your progress, questions, troubleshooting needs, yarn ideas, or simply come for motivation and show-and-tell with fellow knitters. We’ll discuss techniques, resources, modifications, and help each other stay on track throughout the month.

Pattern purchase is required separately. There is no additional cost to join the Wednesday evening sessions.

Weekly Progress Guide

Week 1 — June 3
Getting Started
Cast on, setup rows, understanding the short row structure, wrap-and-turn techniques, yarn choices, and reading the chart.

Week 2 — June 10
First Leaf Motif Complete
Work through the first leaf motif section and discuss tension, edge management, carrying yarn, and troubleshooting wraps.

Week 3 — June 17
Second Leaf Motif & Pillow Front Progress
Continue shaping and complete the second motif while checking sizing, gauge, and garter stitch consistency.

Week 4 — June 24
Finishing & Assembly
Complete both pillow panels, discuss blocking, i-cord edging, joining techniques, and pillow assembly.
