Ready to learn short rows in a way that actually makes sense?

In this workshop, we’ll focus on wrap and turn short rows using the beautiful Pincha Shawl pattern as our guide. This design really shines in fingering or sport weight yarn, especially variegated colorways that highlight the movement of the stitches.

We’ll start with a short, clear demo so you understand how wrap and turn works. Then we’ll walk through the pattern step by step and guide you as you cast on and begin knitting.

Jared’s finished sample is on display in the shop—it’s lightweight, wearable, and a perfect summer project you can take anywhere.

You’ll learn:

  • What short rows do and why they matter
  • How to work wrap and turn short rows with confidence
  • How to read and begin the Pincha Shawl pattern
  • Tips for working with lightweight yarns and color

Skill Level: Intermediate
(Comfortable with knit, purl, and following a basic pattern)

Materials:

  • Pincha Shawl pattern
  • 1 skein fingering or sport weight yarn
  • Needles appropriate for your yarn (bring your own)
  • Stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle

Come ready to learn something new—and leave with a project you’ll actually want to keep knitting.
