This ongoing monthly workshop focuses on practical crochet projects designed to strengthen technique while giving you something finished — or confidently underway — to take home.

Each month features one focused project that highlights specific skills such as shaping, texture, structural stitches, working in the round, or simple colorwork. We move at a steady pace and emphasize clean technique and thoughtful construction.

All materials are included unless otherwise noted. Hook size will vary by project (details listed in each session). Please bring your preferred hooks. Extras will be available if needed.

This workshop is designed for crocheters who are already comfortable with:

• Chain stitches

• Single crochet

• Double crochet

• Basic pattern reading

March – 4-Leaf Clover Coaster
Focus: working in the round, shaping petals, clean edging

April – Beaded Keychain
Focus: incorporating beads, tight rounds, durable finishing

May – Crochet Hat Hanger
Focus: sturdy stitch patterns, strap construction, functional home décor

June – Market Bag
Focus: mesh construction, increasing for shaping, structural handles

July – Christmas in July Towel Holders
Focus: texture variation, button loops, gift-ready finishing

August – Sun Hat CAL (Crochet-Along)
We’ll begin the hat together in class, review shaping and brim structure, and continue progress independently. Participants are encouraged to share updates and ask questions in The Yarny Way Community Ravelry Group.

September – Compressed Washcloth
Focus: dense stitch work, texture control, finishing techniques

October – Crocheted Pumpkins
Focus: working flat and seaming, stuffing and shaping

November / December – JOY Mosaic Pillow CAL
We’ll begin this mosaic crochet pillow together, focusing on reading charts and managing two-color technique. This is a Crochet-Along format — progress continues at home, with shared updates and support inside The Yarny Way Community Ravelry Group.
